My First Camping Trip

My first camping trip was to Bogue Chitto State Park.  Since I'm still too little to rough it, we stayed in a cabin.  Plus it's pretty hot outside.  I went hiking and site-seeing quite a bit and just hung around relaxing in the cabin.  Paw-Paw and Nana joined us.  Paw-Paw even got to go for a canoe ride with Mommy and Paul, who got them stuck on a big tree in the middle of the river.  Apparently I'm still too little for canoe rides too.
This is me hiking on the main loop, the Gorge Run Trail or the Red Trail.
Daddy wasn't so happy about me being so close to the edge.
Paw-Paw liked to take me site-seeing.  I even saw my first woodpecker.
Playing in the cabin was fun too.  And nice and cool!

Father's Day #1

For Daddy's very first Father's Day, I gave him something for us to spend more time together ... a bike seat for me to ride in!  Although I'm still a bit too little so I'm looking forward to the day we get to go for our first ride together.

Daddy liked his present so much that he didn't even
mind me waking him up to give it to him in bed.

I was very good for Daddy while waiting to leave for lunch.

Then we were back at Grand Isle for lunch.  Grandad really likes this place.  And from the look of everyone's plates, so do Mommy, Daddy, Granny and ZZ.

My Daddy loves me.
I like Grandad's shirt.
3 generations of Zeringue men!

After lunch I went to wish Paw-Paw and Pops a Happy Father's Day too.  I gave Paw-Paw some plant food for his vegetable garden where we count the tomatoes and some WD-40 for his swing because it's too loud, especially when I'm trying to nap.
Me and Pops
I also gave Paw-Paw plenty of drool.
And a taste of my toes.

God Bless Skyler

June 12th was an extra special Sunday.  It was my Christening.  I was very good in church, smiling for the crowd, although I was distracting everyone from their prayers.  Father Martin even introduced me to the whole congragation during mass.  Then I thought I'd take a nap so I'd be well-rested for the big event.  I woke up just in time for Uncle Garland to start the ceremony.  I flirted with Mommy for a bit and then with everyone else.  But all of a sudden I realized that I hadn't eaten in a long time and wasn't so happy about it.  So, I let everyone know I was ready to go and soon enough we were on our way to Paw Paw's for the after-party.

Of course I had to eat the baptismal garment.

Parents, Godparents and me.

Plenty of family and friends came to celebrate the wonderful day with me.  A big thanks to all and to Uncle Garland for performing the ceremony.

Thanks to everyone for the very nice gifts.

Everyone played hot potato with me.

Pops spent most of the day sleeping in this comfy chair.
What a great day!!!

My Apology Song

Sing to the tune of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star":

Sorry it has been so long.
Thought I'd put it in a song.

Been a little busy bee.
So much family there's to see.

Racing, camping, trips galore.
Many places to explore.

Eating out, not dining in.
Many restaurants I've been.

Learning more and more each day.
Roll around and play, play, play.

Please check back with me real soon.
Hope you liked my little tune.

Skyler
