Home Sweet Home

By Sunday, I was ready to enjoy the beautiful sunshine outside and come home.  Since I've been home:

I've had plenty of nice visitors and several repeat ones.

I met my siblings, Ellie Mae, Hunter & MJ, but I'm still too little to play with them.  They like my smell and to watch me play and sleep.

I peed on myself, Paw Paw and Mommy and on my wall, furniture, and picture frame.

I don't like sleeping flat on my back so sometimes I just turn to my side.  I like spending time in my bouncer and sometimes in my swing.  My swing plays great classical music.

I met my doctor who is very nice.  After only 4 days I had already gained 2oz.  She commented on my long legs ... oh ... and I was actually 21 1/4 inches tall.  My Daddy told me they measured me wrong in the hospital and I was taller than they told me.

I went for 4 rides in the car to visit both sets of grandparents, check out Home Depot, and eat (sleep) at New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood Co.

But my very favorite thing to do is stroll around the neighborhood. I've strolled everyday since last Wednesday with Mommy & Daddy.  We check the mail and then off we go.  Sometimes Daddy runs while I stroll with Mommy.  I really enjoy being outside.  It's so warm and pretty.  I'm glad I live where it is always sunny and warm.

Now that I'm finally here, I'd like to share with my fans some tidbits about me and what has been going on in my life so far. After a very busy first 11 days, I found a few free minutes to catch up with my blogging.

I had a great time with Mommy during my first 9 months. I practiced my acrobats daily and we played patty-cake. I am well travelled, having been to Texas, Kentucky, New York City, Boston, Florida, Colorado and Utah. I am also an experienced racer, having completed two 5Ks, two Gulf Coast Adventure races, and the Sheltowee Extreme South Adventure race in Kentucky. Here is a picture of my first rappel.

After eating dinner Thursday night at Italian Pie, I decided I was almost ready to make my debut into the world. Perhaps it was the inspiration from all of the St. John Theatre people I met that night. Once I got to the hospital, Mommy was ready very quickly, but I needed a little more prep time. And then at 7:30am I was ready to make my grand entrance. I had a nice journey so I didn't cry much at all. I openned my eyes very quickly to see Mommy & Daddy's smiling faces. I wanted to show them what I had learned over the last 9 months so I began making faces, including fish faces, and sticking out my tongue and bottom lip.

I had many special visitors at the hospital, some of whom cried more than I did, and they brought me cute things to look at and toys. Sometimes at night a nurse would come to bring me to stay in the nursery, but I didn't like being away from Mommy & Daddy so after telling the nurses this for a while, they quickly brought me back to my room. The photographer for my first photoshoot arrived earlier than expected so I let her know that I wasn't quite ready and to come back later. She did, but then I was very tired and slept through most of the pics.
