Easter Joy

Easter weekend was very busy and exciting for me, spending time with family and getting lots of Easter baskets filled with goodies.  The Easter Bunny himself came to my house and filled my basket with candy and toys.

At first I was camera shy.

Then, I realized that this very large bunny was stealing my thunder.

On Saturday we had brunch at Granny Debbie's where I found lots of Easter baskets for me!  Brunch was great and on the table were more colors than I had ever seen.

I couldn't believe all of the presents I got.

I needed Mommy's help getting all of them opened.

I love being the center of attention.

Cousin Claire, Aunt Terri and Granny Gloria were there too.

After brunch, we went to visit Maw-Maw Gee-Gee, and her recliner was so comfortable that I took a really nice nap.

Easter morning was exciting going through my goodies from the Easter Bunny with Mommy & Daddy.  He left them some treats too, filling up all of our baskets with lots and lots of candy.  There was soooooo much chocolate!  Way too much for me to eat so Mommy has been helping.  I got dressed up in my nice outfit for the day and even wore shoes.

And he gave me a carrot.



We then hopped over to Paw-Paw & Nana's where I got even more treats!

During such an exciting day I wanted to chill a bit, so I went for a swing and nap with Maw T.

That night I watched the Hornets beat the Lakers!

What a great 1st Easter!

Granny Gloria's Birthday Bunch

Got together with the family for my Granny Gloria's 80th Birthday at the Peppermill. That's 480 times older and wiser than I am! In fact, the place was filled with really, really wise people. I got to meet some family for the first time and they enjoyed playing hot potato with me across the table.

What's Up Doc?

Went to the doc again, for my 2 month checkup this time.  Weighing in at 13 lbs 3 oz and 25 inches long,  my numbers continue to be surprising to Mommy & Daddy.  Also somewhat upsetting to Mommy who doesn't want me to grow up so fast.  My length puts me over the 95th percentile so I get an A!  All of this news made me very happy and I was playing and flirting with the doctor just fine until it happened again.  That nurse walked in, but instead of just one, she had 4 needles this time!  I knew it was going to be bad when she started off by giving me some medicine first.  I wasn't so sure about the taste of this stuff and had trouble getting it down.  She went very quickly, but having 4 shots at one time just stinks.  And to make matters worse, she gave me these girlie, pink, Hello Kitty bandaids! 

I got over it all very quickly, though later that day, I didn't feel so good.  Went to Babies-R-Us with Mommy & Daddy then for some lunch at Reginelli's (Mommy really likes this one sandwich there).  After that I had enough for one day so I no longer wanted to take my picture with the Easter Bunny.  I just wasn't feeling my best so I easily convinced them to just take me home.  They should've known that I just wasn't going to be able to take a nice picture after all those shots.



Mommy & I were pooped by the time we got home.

Crawfish Season

I attended my very first crawfish boil at the Pourciaus, who also gave me this very appropriate bib.  It was a great evening with plenty of family and friends to visit all in one night.

My friend Cille really loves to smile.

Everyone kept talking about how great the crawfish were and I was just dying to try them out.  Here I am hoping one would jump up in my mouth...it never happened though.

Relay For Life

I went to the Relay For Life to walk with Maw Maw T.  It's an event that's very important to our family. 

It took place where Mommy and Daddy first laid eyes on each other (Riverside Academy).  I also got to meet more nice people and visit with some of the ones I've already met including my cuz, Jude.
